I had wanted to face the challenge that this unusual format provided.
It was completed from a series of rough sketches I'd done previously, and the panoramic
view allowed me to show the expanse of the tulip beds in full bloom.
Trees in the distance are kept in the shadows, the details are found in the
tulips and people enjoying them. A cool range of greens was used for
this spring day, playing against the bright pastels of the flowers at their peak.
