Mid-Winter's Night

I had tasked myself to address a particular problem with this painting,
that of a winter night lit by neither moonlight nor starlight. Without any lights,
only middle and dark values would be left. Using a very limited palette
with only two blues helped to catch the scene just right, giving it
the subtle feel of an unlit winter night deep in the woods.
