Adirondacks Winter Flurries
Watercolor /
Landscape
After passing through the Adirondacks region, I would later
paint this scene from my memories of some of the lower, hilly regions.
I wanted to portray the colors of this snowy day;
to accomplish this I first painted a transparent watercolor base,
then used layers to build up the contrasting dark of the evergreens.
Once these dried, opaque white accents were added, including
snowflakes lightly scattered across the scene.
