Plein Air Paintings
This pastel landscape was done as a plein air painting, on location at a local park.
I wanted to capture the lush early summer greenery, and
deliberately caught the scene in midmorning light for the distinct shadow patterns that resulted.
Notice the effect of perspective given with the use of different greens,
with warmer greens in the foreground and cooler blue-greens in the distance.
