Peach Tulips

Floral Paintings
Based on a fresh bouquet with pale peach-colored tulips set by my computer,
this painting captured them from life. I kept the flower arrangement
very light and airy, stressing the colors and soft textures
in the flowers. The tulips were deliberately shown edge-on to give them
a different shape. This atypical vantage point was done as a challenge,
and also gave me the opportunity to incorporate the interior structures
of the tulips into the design.
