Placing a bouquet of flowers by my computer, I completed this image
from life. This was a lovely floral arrangement, though it was difficult
to capture with its entire range of pinks. I met the challenge
of arranging an entire painting around that palette, so that the image
became a case of playing the range of pinks against soft green leaves and shadows.
