Driving home one day, I came across this rainy spring scene, and
wished to capture it with a painting. The new spring growth on the trees and grasses
are fresh green colors, though it is still so early in the season that the
shrubbery in the background retains its winter coloration.
I worked to emphasize the look here that it had just rained; the little
creek has swollen from all of the spring rains.
