The camellia shown here was drawn from life, with its container
placed on the desk by my computer while I rendered its image.
It was challenging to capture the delicate, striped pattern on each petal,
and playing that against the interesting texture on the leaves.
The background is kept quiet and muted, keeping the focus on the camellia.
